MIYAZAKI HADAKA KOMA
We revived MIYAZAKI HADAKA Barley, which was said to be extinct at the end of SHOWA perio, around 1988, and we produced barley SHOCHU. During the second term of cultivation by our contracted farmers, the local mountain, Mt.Shinmoe erupted. Due to the volcanic ash covered barley, the cultivation seemed t o be at ri sk; however, MIYAZAKI HADAKA barley was successfully cultivated due to tremendousefforts by farmers who were devoted to remove the ash from the barley. This SHOCHU has a luxurious taste with a more distinct barley aroma than KOMA.

AOKAGE, Barley SHOCHU
After high-temperature fermentation using Kagoshima yeast No.2, we add heat to the moromi(main fermenting mash) using our original distillation method. This barley shochu is defined by the roasty flavor you’d expect from warm toast and the sweet char of cotton candy. They are introduced twice a year, in April and October.
